Christine at the Antelope,CA location was extremely helpful! The facility is clean and well maintained. They have great hours and the security at this place seams to be great. I can tell Christine enjoys her job, she had answers to all my questions and knew what was going on at this facility. She shows that she cares about the customers too. She called them by their name, that’s important to us. I would highly recommend this place.

I started renting a storage space at Extra Storage Space in ********* in January 2024 for $76. Today is October 3, 2026 and I see they just charged my credit card $209. There was no notification of another rate hike. I looked up prices for 10x10 storage units across the country and in *********** the average cost is $219! Extra Storage Space is charging $209 in ******! The rate went from $76 to $129. Then it was raised to $156. Now its $209 in less than 2 years. Take your business elsewhere.

******, company will spike your agreement by 90% after a few months. Price offered when you sign up is only promotional, which is not disclosed. Contacted company regarding my disappointment and nothing was offered to keep my business.

I signed a lease for a 10x10 unit at $33 a month with month to month payments, however after 3 months they said my "promotional Price" has ended and increased the rent to $96 per month which is "market value" No where on the website do they list that the price will increase after X months. They also are advertising the same unit still for $33 a month.

Predatory sales.They offered the storage unit for $32 a month. Then in a few months, it goes up to $42 a month. Then within a year its $63 a month.When I spoke with the local manager, he said thats what it is. It goes up every four months.Even though the current rate advertise is $28 a month for that size.Terrible customer service and predatory sales.Obviously, Im moving out!

Do Not Use Extra Space Storage If you are looking for long term storage do not use Extra Space Storage they start off with an unbelievable great deal to get tou in and then every 6mo they jack the price up my no less than $60...consistently every 6 months. They claim to do this because the amount of storage available is less and the need is more m I use to use Uhaul and for 5 years it never went up enough for me to even notice it.

There are definitely rats and bugs, not to mention the state of the occupied units around mine being filled with food and other detritus that promotes that.

Extra Space Storage has always been my go-to when i need to move and store my smaller items. They have gone from fair to exorbitant on rent rates. I moved my items in to a five foot by five foot storage unit in February 2024 - 2 years - ago at a rate of ***** dollars a month total, with the "required monthly insurance charge".It is now September 5th, 2026 and my rent for the same 5 foot by 5 foot storage unit - it has Not gotten Larger - has just been raised to 184.xx; and this after the company sent me a message saying that... read more

Terrible customer service and absolute abuse of trust by the managers at this location. They are completely unfair, took my money, and flat out refuse to return it, making up every excuse possible. They do not care about customers at all. Be very careful before renting here; look for other options if you don't want to lose your money. Totally dishonest!"
