Christine at the Antelope,CA location was extremely helpful! The facility is clean and well maintained. They have great hours and the security at this place seams to be great. I can tell Christine enjoys her job, she had answers to all my questions and knew what was going on at this facility. She shows that she cares about the customers too. She called them by their name, that’s important to us. I would highly recommend this place.

In February 2026, I rented a 10x10 storage unit from Extra Space Storage for $83 per month. After only four months, my rent was increased from $83 to $147.When I contacted the office, they told me that this was mentioned on page 9 of the rental agreement, which states that the rental terms may change with 30 days notice and that the monthly rental charge can be increased due to market conditions or for any other reason.I was also told that 10x10 units are currently around $180, so I should consider myself lucky. I have had 2 storage units at extra space storage on elkhorn blvd in north highlands for over 2 yrs everything was fine until recently when i would come to my units to find new locks on them this happend a couole of times i gues the first time may have been that i didnt close the lock all the way , the next 2 times it happend i was given no explaination then the 3rd time i was told that someone broke throigh the wall in the naighboring unit . It's a clean place. Workers are ******* issue is I've been there under a year and my Storage Rent has gone up 31/2 x from my 1st month. I know I moved in on a Special. No where on the ad did it say increase in rent after a bit of time. I knew there would be one. I never was told what the rent would be when it went normal price. 2 months after move in it went up to $155. I complained the increase was over 3 x what I'm paying. Storage service overall was good. The problem is they lured me in with a rate of less than $200, and just within 2 months of having spent the hundreds of dollars of moving expenses between a truck, paying a friend to help, the time it took to do all the moving work, and the storage fees themselves, one is not in a position to move again after all the work of one move within a month or two. MOUSE AND PIGEON INFESTED PROPERTY. Insurance on units is a scam. Every few months the price goes way up. No change on property is being made. Familys items have been contami contaminated now and we have to buy traps to trap and clean ourselves. They knew before we rented unit that they had units next to that were full of trash and garbage they waited till we rented it and moved in to disclose the mouse problem and that they had to wait for approval to clean next door units. I just lost $116.46 !!!!!!! For a unit I never used.I called over the phone and made the payment 5/16.
