My old storage changed over to Extra Space a few months ago and since the switch things have been great! The office staff is extremely responsive whenever I reach out. The grounds are clean inside and out. I never have issues getting into the building and it's never too busy or crowded when I need to get in and out for work events. The halls are well lit and there's maps right off the elevators to help me navigate in this maze of a building. After a horrendous time with the moving company my furniture arrived at Extra Space Storage where I couldn't have had a better experience. From my very first phone call, Sharon was very professional and extremely helpful with helping me setting up the move in. When I arrived she and Michelle greeted me as if we were friends for years and gave me a personal tour of the facility and explained policies and entry hours. E 10th Street Charlotte, NC location: This place advertises great online deals, but I would avoid at all costs if you need to rent a space for more than 4 months. This place is a total scam and in less than year, I went from paying ~$80 a month to ~$198 a month. They say they "negotiate" monthly rent but it brings the cost down barely $15-20 a month. I was told if I scheduled a move out for a specific date, I needed to pay the monthly rent up front and for the 15+ days I wouldn't be in the unit, I would get that retroactivel... read more

don't fall for their pricing, they will end up tripling what you pay for your unit over time- once you've moved all of your stuff into a unit and it would be too inconvenient or impossible to move it out into a different storage facility. started with a rate of $70 in november 2025, after a few months it has increased to $109 in january 2026, and now they are upping the rate again (for the same unit our stuff has been in for less than a year) to $189 in july 2026. we were assured by the person we spoke to initially that the ... read more

Dissatisfied... Disappointing and very off-putting intense/over-the-top "car salesman like" pitch from central call center AND on site manager Michelle. She was too pushy then dismissive and unfriendly once she was exposed. NOT COOL High strung doesn't always = genuine/kind/caring. Her assistant was nice and helpful.
