If I could give this storage space a minus 10, I would. This is the second time I have entrusted Extra Space storage to keep my belongings safe and the second time I have been robbed of my personal belongings in two different states. The first one in ****** Texas and the second one in *******, *******. It's a real ripoff my unit started at$186/months and after three months it went up to 239 and then $300 in just 7 months so everybody beware
They need to state in their contract that they will increase your monthly fee at least 50% within the first six months to 12 months of your time with them. They are horrible to work with. They have been sued by NY and I'm sure more state's are coming.
Continually increases rent without notice. I rent the smallest unit, which went from $75/month to $210 a month within 2 years.

On multiple visits, the on-site manager has treated me unfairly and aggressively. Male customers have repeatedly blocked full roadway access and access to my unit without being confronted, while I, a female paying customer, have been met with open hostility, intimidation, and harassment from the manager of the site when forced to park awkwardly due to physical obstructions. Extra Space Storage at the ******************** location has grossly overcharged me just about with the help of the government taking every ***** left in my bank account so that I am left with nothing and feeling like I am rebuying my own property. They claim I could've chosen the $74 / month for 4 months charge before the price being raised with a $60-80 insurance charge for only $10,000 worth if property. If I could give 0 stars I would. I rented a storage unit in ******** ******* from Extra space storage and have been with them a year, and was NEVER late or behind on payment, They have jacked my rate up 3 times after telling me in the beginning when i first rented the unit that it would stay $104.00 (insurance included) for 2 years then I get notification that my bill is going from $186.00 a month to $258.00 a month, tried calling them to figure something out abd was given the run around.
