be aware this area is infested with homeless, I would not suggest getting a storage in this area. I have had a storage unit at this location for over 2 years and recently I have noticed that more homeless are renting units at this location. It does not make me feel comfortable when I come alone as a woman. The move in process was great and everything was good. I opted for the online special as opposed to the 1 month free. I asked them at the time of signing up how quickly my bill would go up and what the typical rate increase looked like. They assured me it wouldnt go up for quite some time and if it does go up its typically in smaller increments. We moved into our storage unit April 29th. I have only made 3 payments of the online special price of 155. It has only been 3 months and they just raised the rate $100. That is ridic... read more

The Citrus Heights Extra Space storage on Auburn Blvd just raised my rates from $127 to $196 each for two units. They are refusing to reimburse me unused storage this month if I move out before the end of the month when rate increases go into effect. I have been at this facility for years and am good paying customer-non smoker-non vagrant!
