Extra Space Storage has been providing me with somewhere for my extra things for about 3 years now in Nevada and California. Only thing I don't like is some places only take a certain type of lock and I think it's always better to have options. I also wish the hours were a little longer instead of 6am-10pm for access. Other than that Extra Space Storage is a great place for your extra things.

Serious security concerns, poor response, and unacceptable rate hikes. I rented a unit at this Extra Space location for $85/month. It's now ballooned to $217/month, and despite the price hike, the facility offers zero peace of mind. My unit was broken into, the thieves cut through the chicken wire ceiling, popped off my lock, and went through all of my belongings, selectively stealing several items while leaving others behind. The absolute worst storage experience. The place is not maintained properly and we were extremely impacted when the building flooded 3 days after our move in. It was unacceptable and they only send a general email out saying we might be affected. Well, we were and inches of water was inside our unit. They didn't let us touch a thing and made us wait days until they had availability to move us to another unit. I wasn't going to do this because I hate to give one star reviews but I just read that some else went through the same situation as me. They basically doubled my monthly payment from $86.00 to $170.00! without any notice, I thought it was a mistake so I went straight to the office and the lady on the counter told me those were the new prices and that they did sent letters in advance through the mail (which I doubt because I would've canceled right away) they could've send an email and/or text message. Thank you Emily for reaching out via yelp, I understand it's probably your job to do so and at the same time maintain a positive rating for your business, it's gonna be an up hill battle for you at Extra Space. Thank you for reminding me of the $120 market rate increase and that I was sent a letter, which could be the laziest and deceptive way possible to gouge your customers out of money. Good facility but the guys at the front desk is a freaking jerk . I do have multiple storage units around town for my work that I do . Great place here but the guy is an ass. I asked him where the restroom was he told me with an attitude it was in the back of the building. I'm looking at the restroom right now in the office in front of the building... I will not be storing here in the future... Only because of the guy at the front desk. His attitude has stopped me or my coworkers from using this facility again.. customer ser... read more
