Made of steel this is the strongest, most durable closet organizer I’ve ever seen. The steel tube expands out from 40 inches to 73 inches. The box comes with 6 tubes, 1 center bracket and 2 ends. Installation can be done with one person but it’s easier with two. It took me about 30 minutes to install it by myself. Once you install the center bracket the two ends are easy to setup. It's refreshing to see a high quality affordable product made in USA. Material is heavy duty and solid. Provided templates make it easy to install the shelves. Instructions are not that great but once you make a dry run you can figure it out easily. Design is modular that allows you to expand the shelving later with ease. The expandable shelf is well built and suitable for many uses. Six feet of shelf space that I found to be a perfect top shelf in a closet. Because of the "see thru" design, It can be mounted above eye level (above the existing shelf or the closet door) and turn wasted space into additional storage.
Cool shelf that is easy to install. No worries about measuring because the tubes are adjustable. Very sturdy design. Good looking compared to the normal closet shelves with the skinny wire. They are right on when they say install in half the time. And the lifetime guarantee is a great benefit.
At first when I opened the box I was a little overwhelmed by all the rods. But when you look at the installation you realize how all those rods aid in the easy of installation. You can install this by yourself so no more calling the wife in to hold the bracket. The instruction I found difficult to understand. I ended up reading the instructions several times, then I laid the rods and brackets on the floor and Walla, I had figured it out. The hang on my utility room wall strong and safe. I think the pictures could of been better in the instructions. Over all I like it!
Installed this unit in half of our closet, went in very quickly and feels very sturdy. Like it enough we will get the other half and do our whole closet with this shelf unit. Only frustrating part during installation was that the center bracket used when you don't end with a wall has tabs for mounting to the wall, and the holes are too close to the plastic center so that I stripped my first screw because of the angle with my impact. This is a good option for additional closet shelf installation. The shelf itself consists of five 1" metal tubes, not a solid board, spaced about 1 1/2" apart. The tubes telescope out to make a 11 1/2" wide shelf at any length from 40" to 73". The plastic brackets screw into the wall with included wood screws and dry wall anchors, if needed. Lots of positives about this shelf... 1. It was easy to install / hang. It took me fifteen minutes using a level and a cordless driver. I think I spent more time puzzling over how high I wanted to hang it. 2. It came with everything required to put it up, except tools. The anchors and screws were included as well as templates for marking the walls (if you didn't just use the hangers themselves as templates). 3.
