The boxes and items stacked against the wall on the garage floor needed a new home. I ordered the EZ Shelf 40 inch to 75 inch Expandable Garage Shelf to supply this need. The product is well designed for strength and ease of installation. I used a 6 foot level to mark the wall at 60 inches above the floor and was able to locate the shelf brackets over wall studs. I would not call this a garage shelf! If you put this in the garage be prepared! The mounting brackets are plastic. The rods that make up the "shelf" are plastic. But, there are holes for the entire slot/ width of the shelf! Also, the rods are round! Stuff that is small will not just sit on the "shelf" it will fall through. You can not put a spray paint can on this shelf, it will fall over. I did not use this for a garage shelf after I saw what it was. The main braces are all injection molded plastic, which in my mind would limit what I would actually put on these, but the design is pretty good for how they support the loads. The rails are expanding rods and snap into the center supports, but need to be screwed into the end supports for a good attachment point. I think they want you to just use friction for the end supports, but that would not work well if you put anything heavy on these shelves. This shelving is very easy to install, and looks great. The included template makes mounting the brackets a breeze, and all the hardware is included for mounting into drywall. If you plan to use a drill, you'll likely need an extension bit so you don't strip your screw heads. With a rating of 250 pounds per shelf, these make excellent, durable storage that will last a long time.

EZ Shelf I enjoyed seeing a nice product go together quickly. The only things that is wrong with this garage shelving unit is that if you do land on a wall stud they do not supply screws for that (just in case) and the connecting bolts are ¼ inch to long with no cover cap to hide them (cheap looking). This well-constructed shelf is very attractive and sturdy - Good for using in or out of the home. It was easy to install and very secure after installing, even with a lot of weight. I wanted to use it in the closet, but my husband convinced me that he needed it in the garage and it does hold a lot of things that were lying around - plus it looks very nice. I do feel that it's a pretty pricey solution though if you need extra shelving.

This shelf was an add-on to my daughter's closet. It is designed to be more of a shelf to set things on, but hangers can also easily hang from the front pole. Installation was very easy and the directions were very clear and easy to follow. It included all necessary hardware to install it, even anchors in case it needs to be screwed into drywall instead of studs. It looks sharp and is very functional.

I’m going to wait until the warmer weather to put the shelves up in my garage. I need to reorganize it too. They are plastic so they won’t rust and they look very sturdy. There are detailed instructions that came with them.

I know this product is supposed to go into a closet,but I needed something over my heat press that could also be used to hang some of my tools on. This fit the bill perfectly with the rods instead of a solid shelf. I can use S hooks over the rods to hang things below the shelf. The installation wasn't all that hard it just took us a long time.
