I am not sure why the other reviewers had such a horrible banking experience with Fairwinds Credit Union. I have been banking with them for years and by far this branch has given me the ultimate best service. I go out of my way to use this specific location because of the great service. The inside of the bank is very clean. They have a coffee station and a nice seating area. The staff is extremely helpful and pleasant. I believe them to be very accommodating. I was a member with Fairwinds for two years while my family has been banking with them for ever. Would I recommend this credit union to anyone? Probably not. The location is very nice compared to the other Fairwinds off of Powers Drive (now shut down). The employees seem to be nice but can be a little snippy. I realize what other credit unions have to offer and I won't be returning.
Put your money in a mattress before you put it in Fairwinds. The only good thing about Fairwinds is their online banking, but lets be real EVERY bank out there has a pretty good online banking platform. I have had accounts with Fairwinds for over 7 years. Recently though the customer service and willingness to help their "members" is sub par. They have no sense what they are doing. I had to file a fraud claim because someone skimmed my debit card. DO NOT USE THIS CREDIT UNION! BY far the most unorganized, rude, disrespectful bank i've ever stepped into. As a branch they are terrible. Overall I am not sure but based on what I saw today I would never go back. The teller has no clue what is going on and the teller manager is too good to come out and talk to you if you have an issue. She just looks at you from the back because what she is doing on the computer is much more important that the issue the customer who is standing there is having.
