I recently contacted Fairwinds Avalon Park branch to take advantage of the wonderful loan rates that my local Fairwinds is known for having! To my awesome surprise, I reached out and spoke with Xavier and also Lindsey at this branch recently for two totally separate business transactions. If you're looking for a credit union to get a car loan please go to this branch and ask for Xavier. My husband and I had many first time car buyer questions and Xavier answered everyone of them and was patient and so very helpful until we Finally found the car of our dreams. He gets back to you super quick when you call him or need him that he makes you feel like priority. We simply love him!
Absolute worst, wiped out my bill pay 2 times. Thinks that if a wife and husband share a account they are stealing from each other and for over a week I can not pay a bill. I have a Severe Brain Injury and they have made my live hell, they will not let me see my balance and when I go to the office they are rude and short and tell you if you need help call the 800 number they do not help at the branch level anymore Eric in Apopka and after same treatment from the one on 434 you people need to help disabled people
I have been "banking" with FAIRWINDS Credit Union since 1996; and, am still very pleased with the customer service. Yesterday, I met with my Financial Advisor; and, I am still on-track with my retirement plans, savings, etc. After our meeting he introduced me to the new branch manager at the Avalon Park branch. We switched to Fairwinds from one of those big banks last year and aside from one or two minor issues, we couldn't be happier with our move. This staff at this location has been excellent during every interaction we've had with them. We went in for pre-approvals for car purchases last summer and we got decent, but not GREAT rates. The dealer ended up giving us better deals than what we had gotten through our pre-approval.
