I applied for a car loan with them and the process was so easy and stress free! My loan officer, Joannie, went way above and beyond to make sure that everything was handled and payment sent quickly. I would definitely recommend them! The only down side is their lobby hours are pretty limited, however their drive through is open til 6pm, so you can get almost anything you need done inside at the window.
Fairwinds Credit Union has dropped the ball numerous times with their poor customer service and lack of tech commodities. I just recently enlisted in the military and the law clearly states that for ACTIVE DUTY military members are ENTITLED to an interest reduction on their credit cards, home loans, car loans, etc....With Chase and USAA I had no problems whatsoever with getting my entitlements but Fairwinds refuses to abide by this federal law. Called a number of times but to no avail. Got promises from two managers over the last year that they will check for answers to my questions after they changed my account to another type and started charging monthly fees. Never heard from them again. I now use Bank of American and Chase. They may cost a couple of dollars monthly but at least they have competent employees who, if they don't have answers, they check it out and call you back.
