I went in for a walk-in appointment today and Wendis, RMA was awesome! She was friendly and efficient. The Dr./PA I saw was also great. I was in and out in about an hour. Definitely recommend this location.
I am a patient of their family practice at this location, and have always had high quality care, little to no wait time, and an easy time getting appointments scheduled. They have seen me for routine check ups and illnesses that pop up on the spot, and each time I have been very satisfied with the services provided.
I was hesitant to go to this urgent care based on reviews but I truly had an exceptional experience here. On Tuesday night around 6:30pm, after about 8 days of a cough and sore throat, I noticed white patches in my throat and was immediately terrified I had strep. I have a toddler and am going on vacation next week so I could not wait on this- I called them and they said they had a few people in there an I'd probably wait 45mins. I took my son in for what we thought was an infected ingrown toenail. The doctor saw that he was severely dehydrated and set up IV fluids for him and suggested we take him to the ER. He had appendicitis. FastMed probably saved his life. We thought he had a stomach bug that was going through our house.

Lady assisting clients at the front desk needs to learn how to use the words "Please and Thank You." A smile goes a long way. No matter what issues you are having with your computer or log on the clients waiting shouldn't know it. Also 8 o'clock means 8 o'clock not 5 minutes after. Victor and PA did an outstanding job interacting with us during our visit, which is the only reason we are giving them a 3 star for this visit.

If you get there at the right time it's not a bad place to go. Just don't go during flu season.

The care here has been pretty good but theres always an irony to these places being called "fast" or "urgent." You often go from waiting too long in the waiting room to waiting somehow longer in the examination room. Its not always much faster than the emergency room at the nearby hospital. It may be worth glancing at your insurance and seeing which makes sense during the busier hours. Also, the doctors here yell. I like the speed and the intake nurse. She was thorough and asked good questions and actually listened! I didn't like the nurse who weighed me because she had on perfumed lotion and I have sensitivities to perfumes and lotions. I felt that the doctor didn't really listen to what I was telling him, especially since I was 100% certain what the root cause and treatment was...since I have experienced it so many times before. I am a current patient at Fast Med on HWY 42 the staff are always super nice and very friendly everyone does their job well. My PA there Taylor is great she always finds the time in her busy schedule to answer my questions and take care of me she is a real asset to them and me.
