Dr. Ford performed a breast reduction surgery for me in 2009 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. He is one of the most skilled, kind and talented people I have come into contact with. My breasts look amazing even after changes in weight. My scarring is extremely minimal, and the shape is perfect. He is both professional and caring, and I will be seeing him in the future for any work needed. You may need to wait for an appointment, but I would suggest using the Toronto office and then scheduling your surgery for Oshawa.
He toke a tumor out of my finger; he was pleasant and accommodating with selecting the right medication.
Recently had basal cell removed off my face in Oshawa. Dr. Derek Ford was absolutely amazing. Those gifted hands! He is very skilled and not only is an amazing plastic surgeon, but is gentle and reassuring. Thank you Dr. Ford for being there for me and for other people that require removal of cancerous tissue. Dr Ford, what more then amazing can i say? He is extremely knowledgeable and very professional. His bed side manner has been better then I ever expected. I was referred by my GP to dr ford. Dr. Ford is a very skilled & caring surgeon. I recently had breast reduction and I couldn't be happier with the staff, surgical experience, post-op care and great results. The pain was moderate for only a couple of days, then minimal - requiring only the occasional Tylenol for another few days. I was back to work in a week. There is no vertical scar under my breasts which is a real bonus andthey look so lifted! I had drains in for 4 days & the nurses from home-care were great. I've noticed there's been enough material on certain docs on review boards over and over again whether it be positve or negative but it amazes me that someone like Dr Ford doesn't get enough recognition for his artistry , his skills, or for his wonderful, and kind interaction with his patients. Have only had injections , have been going to him for over 7 years - always fantastic results. When the time comes for surgery I would not hesitate
I was recommended to Dr. Ford for a breast reduction in 2009 by a friend who had recently had the same procedure done. I had a consultation soon after and elected to wait until the next summer (I was in university, away from home) to have the procedure done. I would add a disclaimer that I was a very good candidate for the surgery with thick breast tissue. Dr. Ford was very up front about potential risks, scars and damage that could happen. Take a good book with you, especially if you have an afternoon appointment, but it's worth the wait. Be calm, he won't rush his patients, which is a good thing.
