Staff forgot to tell me my pre-op was rescheduled, waited over an hour at hospital to find this out. Several calls saying my surgery was on and off again and then rescheduled. Long wait for late morning appointments.
This doctor hesitant in giving complications of breast reduction surgery. He did not give me information I needed to make a wise choice. The scaring is awful and I have ongoing problems, Ford did not inform of that could happen. It's been way over a year since operations. The unevenness is visibly worse to me. Went to Derek Ford for a Ptosis repair on my left eye. He advised that I required the ptosis repair on both eyes recommended blepharoplasty on both eyes. 1 week after first surgery my left eye ptosis returned. He agreed to repeat the ptosis about 5 months later - same result. Had breast work done. I liked what I saw of Dr. Ford, he did seem very nice and organized. From what I know he has a location in Oshawa and Toronto. The secretary at the Oshawa located was terrible. Very unfriendly and rude, when I asked for a note to give to my work explaining my leave of absence she did not provide me with one at first and she did not seem apologetic. At first I thought that he was very interested in fixing my health concerns and had assured me he could fix it. Most of my surgery was covered except $2600 of it which I didn't mind paying if it made my health better but once he was finished the surgery and recieved payment he became very cold and quite ruff with my follow up proceeders. I reffered to this plastic surgeon in regards to performing breast reconstruction.And I must admit his resume looked good.However,upon our meeting,I dont know who knew more me or him!Perhaps he was just nervous but regrdless I ended up going else where.Dr.Ford just did not appear to be confident,nor did he make me feel at ease.I wasn't willing to chance my life with him.
