We were finally able to get reservations for the 4 Corners Steak House, in the new casino, on our 3RD trip to the casino. The atmosphere in the steak house was elegant & quiet. The hostess & our waiter were really good as well. Other than that, this was a really bad restaurant experience. It cost $165.00 before tip for just two of us to eat. This restaurant was grossly over-rated -- Food was terrible - party of 6 and no one ate any of their meal -- it was the worse dinner experience any of us have had in a long time. Portions were very small - which was good - because we did not eat anything. The price was absolutely way too much for the amount of food and the quality of the food. We have had better meals at McDonalds. I am requesting a refund as I was expecting a great steakhouse and it was horrible to say the least. WILL NOT BE BACK
We normally eat at expensive restaurants, but this place took the cake. The bill was over $200. We had one cocktail and shrimp cocktail, two filets and a shareable grilled veggies. I ordered the mushroom Bernese sauce on the side and it came on top of the filet. It was very disappointing. I would rather go to Stables in Terre Haute.
We had a very nice, new server who just unfortunately hadn’t been trained properly. Not her fault. You can’t charge fine dining pricing and just drop somebody in. Poor thing couldn’t even open a bottle of wine and had to get help. It took over 20 minutes just to get our drinks. We also ordered a bottle of Moet and didn’t even receive champagne glass. Steaks were cooked perfectly! Tuna tartare was really bland. Garlic mashed potatoes were also really good.
Cocktails took too long to get, entrees came in advance of sides, serving spoons were not provided with sides, sides were not hot, one steak was well done, not medium rare as ordered, plates could have been hot, not just warm…
I really hope they show these reviews to the executive chef, so changes can be made. The pork chop was not that flavorfull, and tasted like it was pulled right out of a freezer and cooked in a pressure cooker then thrown on a grill. Also to create flavor rather than marinating all day, this restaurant uses an abundance of maple syrup flavorings. Is that a Churchill Downs KY thing? I expected a fine dining experience. The food was below average but the prices were suitable for fine dining. I believe they employ a cook, not a chef, and it shows. My friends and I agree. We will never go back.
