I cancelled my contract today. For the amount of times (4 times a year) in relation to what was being charged ($60.00 per month), this service is not economically feasible. $175.00 to sign up and $60.00 per month (totals $720.00/annually) for a total of $895.00. Then if you decide to cancel for whatever reason, because the sales rep didn't tell you that the minimum contract time frame is 24 months, and you only have 3 days to rescind/cancel the contract, you are required pay the $150.00 cancellation fee. Fox Pest Control has no right to send their sales people door to door, especially with COVID still a serious health concern for many people.
Ryan J****** pulled onto our property, got out of his vehicle, and started walking around our house. My wife thought I had called him which I did not. After his unwelcomed 'inspection', he tried to get my wife to pay for termite work. When she said no, he said he'd give her half off the price. Fox Pest control has been a plague in my town. They go door to door frequently and don't take no for an answer. There's something deliberate about how they do this because all the different salespeople they've sent do the same thing. First, they don't use the doorbell. They open the storm door and knock on the glass of your door more times than is friendly. They repeat this until you answer. They don't take no for an answer. A young man from Fox Pest control came to my door and said all of my neighbors have signed up for the service (lie #1), and said he can offer me the rate of $171 (lie #2) since they'll already be in the neighborhood. He said it'd be billed monthly. Hardly any of my neighbors signed up, but there are a couple. They're paying $70 less than I am. The first time they showed up, I was charged the full amount of $171. Did not read fine print when signing up and now know there is a $150 cancellation fee! How is this possible! Super disappointed that this was not made clear to me when signing up. Feel deceived by salesman. Gave them ample time to assess effectiveness of treatment with no noticeable decrease in number of carpenter ants and other bugs. Their service is way too expensive!
Amazingly incompetent! Hired them because of mice in our garage. They put out bait traps during the first visit, then forgot about them for 9 months and sprayed for ants instead. Recently scheduled a service call about bees in our attic. I react badly to bee stings so it was very important. The service technician didn't show up when scheduled. A solicitor with a Fox Pest Control shirt rang our doorbell, ignoring the NO SOLICITATION sign and then claiming to not be soliciting. It is painful for my wife to stand up, and if he had showed up 5 minutes later she would have been in pain going to the doorway after I left.
I hired Fox to handle an ant problem. The charge was $ 191,00 for their service with any additional cals l at no charge. They came to my home 3 tomes and I still have a problem. Now they charged me another $58.94 for what. I tried to call them several times and after they identified my phone number all I got was a busy signal. I would NEVER recommend these people fir any exterminating problems. TERRIBLE WORK TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
