When I make a reservation, and say I don't want any extras, and when I arrive to pick up the car, and say I don't want any extras, DO NOT add them in before I sign everything. When the fine print on your signature pads is tiny, there has to be a level of trust that you DID NOT ADD the items I did not want. I rented a car and it was paid for with a debit card through Expedia. They excepted the money using the debit, but when I went to pick up the car, I could not get it because I did not have a credit card. *** told me I would have to go through Expedia to get a refund. They would make the note on my reservation. I called expedia and they said they needed to call *** to get the approval for the refund. *** denied the refund twice when contacted by Expedia. They rip you off. DO NOT USE Fox!!! Deposit fee is insane and dont tell you how much until you go pick your car up and by that time its to late to cancel so they keep your rental payment because you didnt cancel before 24 hours
I rented a car from Priceline for 21 days. From May 12 until June 2nd. I arrived to ******* to pick up a car, I was offered insurance that I declined, I was offered Sunpass that I declined because I was only going to use the car within 10 to 15 **** radius. I was told there is a hold of $1500 on credit card until I return the vehicle. When I return the vehicle the same way I got it, I was told to wait two weeks for a hold to reverse. Dont rent a car with fox rent a car. They mailed me a bill for a toll fee worth $15.00 which was fine but charged me $60 administrative fee which is way too high. It took 2 hours to get a car from them and my 2 toddlers were crying from waiting and hunger.
We rent from fox car rental at the ******* airport thru Expedia and it indicated it is located at the airport terminal. It is located outside of the airport terminal and we had to take a ride from fox shuttle from the train to Viscount stop. The office looks terrible and when we got the car we make sure we video tape the exterior to make sure we didnt get charge for anything. They look very shady to **. ********************* we heard the agents trying to charge extra stuff to other renters.
Do not use FOX. It's basically a scam. Despicable and untrustworthy. Sure, it's a 'real' place; we got a car for rent, but their 'hidden fees' are atrocious. We would have spent less money renting from a reputable company. If you're trying to save on your trip, this is not the place to use. I told them (online and in person) that we did not want any extra insurance or any extra whatever. When I went to get car they said I did not have the insurance & tried to cha the my card for ***** when I already paid on Expedia. I never received the car because I the charge did not go through.****************
On June 1, 2023, I rented a Fox car from the ****************** Airport. The desk agent informed me that if I allow *** the fill the gas tank on my return their prices is .20 less per gallon. The car was a ****** Corolla. I used a half tank. They charged me $81 dollars. I prepaid the car in advance. So when dropping off the car I did not have questions There were hidden fees in this contract that the agent neglected to mention regarding what they charge for someone putting gas in the tank.
