I am not happy at all with this company! I booked a reservation online and they took my payment and a 500 hold. I went to the location in fort myers fl and the manager canceled my reservation and said i will be refunded. My money was never refunded, but my reservation is canceled !! I have tried several times to contact Fox rent a cR and each time I have been on hold for over 1.5 hours and that was 3 times. It is ridiculous! Thee worst company to rent from. Even if you use a second party like Priceline. Check your receipts!!!! They try not to give you a final receipt; and add extra charges that no one can explain. Once you notice the charges... they act like they don't know what the chargers are for. I argued until I was able to speak to a supervisor, who then, tried to make me feel stupid by breaking down the charges. She then noticed that I was right and those charges were incorrect. I would give no stars if possible. I rented a car through Fox in Orlando, Florida. I bought the renters insurance that they offered me at the counter. I ended up getting in an accident with the car on my last day in Florida. I filled out all the necessary paperwork, spoke with the representative at the office, filed a claim and returned the car before needing to catch my flight. This was in March 13th, 2020. WOW! Reading the reviews of this company should tell you one thing, but experiencing 'business' with Fox Rent A Car is truly completely horrible. I'm a paying customer to this company and have not received any type of vehicle or service from them, yet they happily took my money ($300) and refuse to help to this day. I placed a reservation to be picked up at 8pm on a Saturday. Once I arrived they were closed and couldn't speak with any representatives that night because the line would just hang up. From: 5/24/2020 To: 5/24/2020 I'm Complaint Summary: I reserved a full size SUV #LAX-XXXXXXX. On my original request , it stated a Chevy suburban or similar. The car I received was a Toyota Forrunner. I asked the clerk if by chance they had any larger vehicles, because I had just rented a similar SUV, and with five teenage boys, driving to Arizona it was very uncomfortable. At times like these you would think that they would work with people that had travel plans since December 2019 a credit or refunds but nope they give refunds to people trying to travel during the pandemic, I knew when I signed up for the non-refund option I was taking a chance but everything else I booked for the trip gave me a credit to reschedule my trip. If I could give zero stars I would. This place is awful. We stood in line forever, which was not a big deal. Then we were not greeted by a rude woman who had a maximum speaking volume of 2 in a building that was literally a warehouse. We were informed that we had to prepay for our gas, that we had to buy their liability insurance, which we did not, that we had to purchase a toll pass ******* we would be driving on toll roads daily, which we did not, and that we were getting an upgrade for free, which we were charged for. Rented a car Feb 28 to March 1st with Fox at the MIA airport. Provided drivers license and insurance card. Agent said we don't need the insurance card. I was informed on the SunPass, deposit and fuel which I totally agreed to. I was directed to the pin-pad to initial in several places, after accepting the SunPass *** deposit verbally and making arrangements for the gas, I asked why the extra charge there than what was printed on ym Expedia receipt. If you make any change to rental agreement, Fox will CHARGE THE DAYLIGHTS OUT OF YOU! Rented car at Tampa; sign at counter read early return charges waived due to coronavirus. Tried to return car early BUT Fox said they'd still charge the penalty charges/fees. Fox DENIED anything about waiving charges due to the coronavirus.
