I rented a car through AAA from your organization. When picking up the car, after it had already been paid, we were required to pay more than the rental in fees! Since the car was already paid for there was nothing we could do about it. Also required were roadside assistance, which we already had and didn't need- $41.93. We needed a booster and in your entire store you couldn't find a complete booster with a back, but we were still required to pay $12.99 for a booster that is not even as safe, being that it is missing half o... read more
The process started out OK, pick up went fine, and we had to add on another driver which they were able to accommodate easily. When I was on my way to the airport early on a Monday morning and stopped to get gas, the car wouldn't start again. An error message came on saying that it needed maintenance. Don't enter this nightmare. First they tried to rent us an beat up, scratched up, dirty SUV. After I refused, they gave us a better one, but the inside of the front window looked like it had been wiped down with a muddy towel. So dirty I had to stop right away and do my own cleaning job. Terrible customer service. The last day of our trip before heading to the airport in Liberia, Costa Rica, we found our car had a flat tire. We called customer service and were told to change to the spare. We went to the get the spare and found it had multiple holes in the wall of the tire. We were highly upset as we traveled through the mountains and could have been left with no spare or a way to contact or friends or family. This company would not give back all our money when we cancelled 3 weeks before we needed car. They had plenty of time to rent it to some one else. They said there was a place on contract telling of cancelation policy that they e -mailed. The contract was 6 pages long with small print. Nobody reads contracts like a car rental place. I am a Fool.... After reading so many negative reviews, I rented from Fox rent a car. They give very cheap deals online, but when you go there to pick your car, you will end up paying more. They will say that they don't have a car you have rented.. * Either wait for hours * Or pay more for upgrade (final Fox rental rate will be much more than other rental cars like Hertz Avis etc.. online rate). I rented a car out of your Denver, Colorado location this past week and I am extremely unhappy with the whole process. Back in February I reserved a premium vehicle (Dodge Charger) as a surprise for my husbands 30th birthday. I reserved a car with Fox Rent a Car for May 12th ,2018. I had to cancel the reservation a month before the date I was to pick up the car. They sent me an email confirmation with a confirmation number. When I called to cancel, the confirmation number they sent me meant nothing, they could not find my reservation.
