My husband just rented a car from Fox Rent a Car at Phoenix Skyharbor airport. He was 17th in line to get his reserved car rental. The individual at the desk was very rude and tried charging for extras including demanding $150.00 Deposit (no other car rental charges this), demanding my husband get extra insurance (which is covered by my husband's credit card), pay for half a tank of gas (less expensive to fill up before returning the car). Where to even begin! We are writing this letter in hopes that FOX will make things right as a result of our recent rental car experience. When we arrived at Denver International on 2/7/21 for our pre-Valentines Day getaway, my girlfriend and I had to wait outside in the blistering cold for 30 minutes before being able to board a FOX shuttle. Wish I could give 0 or negative stars. DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT rent from FOX! The car we were given had 4 bald tires during a horrible snow storm. We slid off the road and into a ditch. Luckily my husband and son were ok, but I suffered whiplash injury that I didn't realize was whiplash right away. When we asked for a replacement to be brought to us the guy in roadside assistance told us that if they bright a car out and they determined the tires were ok, they'd charge us for the it. DO NOT RENT HERE. If I could give 0 stars I would. Rented from Fox in California last year and was great. This time around was terrible. We landed on Sunday around 10:30am. We went to the waiting area for the shuttle we waited 45 minutes in cold and no shuttle ever came. Ended up paying $15 for an Uber to get to car rental location. When we got there the line was out the door and we waited 2 hours to get to the front desk counter. The price was not the price we were giving online, it is a total scam. The worst rental company I've ever dealt with. Charged me $200 extra on the rental for something I didn't ask for. Now today, they charged me for a toll that I begged the representative a toll pass **** He said twice there's no tolls around here, don't worry about it. Make they make commission off of the administrative fees.

Fox rental charges fees they never disclose. You are transported from airport to a remote location m, kept in line for 2 hours, then told your rental will cost you 4x the amount you already paid on Priceline. I'm warning everyone I can and Priceline not to use them.

I'm reviewing a 1 week rental I had with Fox at the PHX airport location at the end of December 2020. I reserved a compact SUV several weeks prior but when I arrived we were downgraded to a sedan without any notice and the price remained the same. We did not discover it until we reached the lot and had to return to the desk to learn there were no compact SUVs available and were downgraded.
