Charming restaurant with solid menu at a great central location. Love the cozy and intimate ambiance. Food was good but not mind-blowing. Great server but mixed up busser who brought wrong drinks, wrong to go boxes etc. no big deal. I would definitely return!
We’ve moved from GV/NC area and came back for an afternoon visit. What’s Nevada City without a dinner at Friar Tucks?? Always brings back so many memories! And great food!

Had an excellent cut of prime rib! The waitress was a trip. We are in the process of moving to Grass Valley. She had nothing good to say about living there. Very negative about the heat and population growth. She has lived there for 20 years and can't wait to retire and move back to Hombolt Co. We think that she, like many, do not like the growth in the area and is doing everything in her power to scare people away. Didn't work thought. We'll be back to this restaurant for sure. Its was ALL good!
