We have used this clinic for two years and the service from the medical staff has been excellent. The service from the front office staff is hit and miss. Until the last 3 visits, the indifference from the front office staff was tolerable but it has now degraded to the point of being unbearable. In June I took my lab for a lesion on his lip followed by a dental cleaning a couple of days later. We are from KY on vacation to Galveston. My dog from time to time needs apoquel for itchines. He needed it and there where no appointment available at the clinic and that was fine. We callEd our vet back in KY and they where willing to fax a prescription for the meds. I called and talk to the vet in Galveston and was told the meds could be filled with the prescription sent from our vet in KY. I have been going there for 15 years and loved it. Now, I would not take any of my pets. They lost all their files, the front desk staff are very unprofessional and threaten us that if we didn't get all and some unnecessary vaccinations, we couldn't stay with them no longer, so we decided for a better vet and the great doctors are no longer there anymore so it wasn't that hard.
the new staff sucks and they lost all mu pets papers after being with them for 15 years..not my vet anymore/
Don't pay to get check up for your pet with vet tech so that you can renew pet meds (flea and heartworm). After 6 months they make you come in for veterinarian visit anyway. They're charging twice now for same service in one year. Very disappointed former customer.
They have the rudest receptionist ever! Last night we found a sick cat on the street it was late at night so we put him in the cage and left on the porch next to the clinic. I brought my cat few times before and i was satisfied with the service so i knew I could trust them and leave a found cat who really needed a help. Next day we came back to check on him just to make sure he survived till the morning. The receptionist were extremely rude they almost kicked out us from the clinic and she laughed on our face. I’ve been going to Galveston Veterinary Clinic for 13 Years and the have received excellent care. This passed Wednesday we came home from work and found our oldest dog unable to walk or move. They saw us even though they were about to close. Kept in daily contact to ensure he’s improving. The staff are the most caring people I’ve ever met. Thank you
