This place is dope. If you're just going to dry yourself out, this is where I would go. The staff is fun and friendly It is what it is. Don't make a mess in the kitchen or your room unless you're a butthole It's treatment so be realistic. Learn a new schedule, Keep your hands to yourself. Use common sense. This is just a tool to help you move yourself away from the shit you're doing. Eat as much as you can because when you get sober, you might be hungry(24/7) . I had been twice once as a juvenile and once as an adult I got a lot out of the program and felt at home and challenged to work on myself in both aspects adolescence and adulthood ms. Linda was great a lot of the staff was insightful as well they cared about your well being and how you worked on yourself 5 star stay from my memory

The treatment facility is really clean. Food is good. The only place lacking is the medical staff is a little slow in pulling everything together and communicating. Communication is the biggest problem.

Ok here we go; 2. I'm a meth addict, still sober, still strong, 7months later. Now for the thoughts regarding the reviews from these people. After reading through them, it gave me even a FURTHER understanding of this addiction disease and sickness that I HAVE and will always have (never cured) but from a completely opposite perspective. 31 days there for treatment and I"m confident in my recovery thanks to first, my counselor Nancy who was amazing working with me and my family, second Ken (staff on duty) for replacing bad habits with positive structure, third Benny & Trish for being there when needed, fourth Ryan and Kassie along with Nancy for leading amazing groups and last but not least Barb for doing a killer job with insurance. I was there 2ce. Real cool place. I hate the phone call rule, once a week, 2ce if your lucky. But theres cool counselors thatll let you call more often if you really need to and if that person is a good support system. Food is great but breakfast is so-so. Plenty of smoke breaks which is a huge plus (rosecrans only has 3 a day, people are there to quit drugs, not cigarettes). I was court ordered to go here and at 1st based on reviews wasn't happy but that all changed when I got there (even though I only stayed very short stay due to my insurance not being accepted there). Positives: the place is in a nice location, right by lake. More like a retreat type setting. The buildings are also in pretty good shape. The staff is very nice, at least all the ones i came across. Gateway offers a very structured environment during very difficult times. Their counselors are well educated and really do care. I would recommend gateway to anyone with an addiction problem as they really try to get to the core. It's not cheap if you don't have insurance and can't qualify for state funding, but it's worth it to pay to change your life around!

These kids ruin my experience at this facility they were offering drinks to me and taughting us with beer and music about drinking issues. These jackasses made it so hard for me but helped me at the same time it helped me realize how much I like drinking. They gave me and my friends beer and drugs. They were like a uber on water. Overall a great shit box to stay at.
