My wife and I have had some unfortunate experiences with past mortgage companies..... usually ending in "were sorry there's nothing we can do for you". Overall, the process went very smoothly. If I had to comment on anything (and this is partially on me too), I would suggest pointing out any required up front payments (closing costs, taxes, etc.). I refied twice within a year, and the time of year made a lot of difference (specifically with regard tax payments due).

We were told by our realtor that Geoff could get us the quick mortgage we required. I had my files at hand when I called him the first time and was able to provide and/or scan everything he asked me for the first time. It only took one follow-up phone call and maybe two emails to complete the process. We had a mortgage in less than one month! He was very easy to work with but you have to also be prepared and responsive to what he needs from you.
