The Georgia Dome, the largest cable-supported domed stadium in the world, opened in 1992. Located in downtown Atlanta, the Dome is the home venue for the Atlanta Falcons and Georgia State University football, host to Super Bowl XXVIII and XXXIV, host of the gymnastics and basketball events for the 1996 Olympic Games and host to both a Men's and Women's NCAA Final Four. Will miss this place so badly. Was a STH from day one there until last season - just can't afford the new place. However, most of my experiences in this building have been great. Met my husband there and we got engaged there! I hope some of the existing staff will move to the new facility as they are great. God bless all the people who worked in the Dome and a sincere thank you for your service to the fans! Rise up!
