I just had an emergency with my beloved cat, on Friday, one that called for him to be euthanized or transported elsewhere for overnight care (if he would make it), and the doctor and staff were INSANELY insensitive and just rushed the whole process because they wanted to go home for the day. It all blindsided me and happened so quick. I do not recall the doctors name, but I know that it was NOT Dr. Pope, himself, or Dr. Jones. And between the two receptionists, Georgia and Jordan, I don’t know who is worse. I called Pope be... read more

Shouldn’t be qualified to see exotics. Took a rescue rabbit in showing all the signs of EC, but they refused to test her for it since “she was walking fine now”. Mind you, a sign of EC is symptoms that come and go. Refused to watch the video of her stumbling around almost unable to walk. When asked about blood work, they said they would have to sedate her for it and it would have to be another appointment. Sedate...a 3 pound rabbit...who is docile and will not even flinch when handled. Very disappointed.

Business response:

Emme - your rabbit was given a two part physical exam during your visit. During the hands off component of the exam - your rabbit was found to have the ability to move around the exam room normally. During the physical exam, your rabbit was found to have no ocular abnormalities, no head tilt, and sadly pain in the rear legs was discovered (being of an unknown age and showing pain the hind legs makes arthritis high on the list of concerns for your rabbit). The rest of the physical exam was unremarkable. E. cuniculi (or EC as... read more

I had my first appt today. I understand everything is curb side. I also understand my dog needs a muzzle and I always inform my vet prior. I also know that there are rules for your employees and that they can't risk being bit. I was unable to get the muzzle on her and I was brought the orange strap to catch her snout so I could put in on safely. Unfortunately, I couldn't hold it at the angle for very long while she moved her head and try to slip the muzzle on with only one hand. Since the strap held her mouth shut I asked th... read more

Business response:

We are sorry about your experience today. Unfortunately your dog was trying to bite both you and our technician. Our technician's and clients' safety is important to us. It is also our current policy to not have our technicians get inside client's vehicles. Since we were not able to bring your dog into the clinic safely, advice was given to try and help you and your dog. The suggestion of trying to seek out a clinic that would let you be with your dog was in good intention. Your dog may do better in an environment whe... read more

I will not recommend this place to anyone. My grandma had to have her dog put down yesterday and they drug to dog inside. They were very uncaring.

I don't believe Dr. Pope and his so-called Doctors are qualified to take care of anyone's Pets! I believe Dr. Pope has lost whatever commitment, talent and care for the animals he sees. He and Dr. conley should not be allowed to examine or Diagnose anyone's Pets, if they really care about them! I would very much like someone to investigate the poor treatment, bad diagnosis and lack of caring for my poor Cody! Dr. Pope did not give Cody a real examination, no Blood work, gave him pills twice after Cody had not been eating for... read more

Steve Pope would need to be able to be held accountable when he makes mistakes, which there seems to be many mistakes by the Pope Clinic that are not recorded or made Public! When he as a "So Called Experienced Animal Doctor" sees and examines an animal patient twice, does a poor or incomplete exam, makes a guess at the pet's problems, does not give them a Blood Test or Urine analysis, even though their symptoms are all internal, Misdiagnoses the issue and then gives the poor suffering animal the wrong medications not once b... read more

True Empathy for the Animal Patients and their Owners and More thorough Initial Examinations before making a Guess/Diagnosis and handing out pills! There should be a Blood Test and/or a Urine Analysis if the animal is having any type of internal issues! Their weight should be compared to previous visits if they have not been eating to see how much weight has been lost! Not just briefly looked over, ask the owners a few questions, hand out pills, give them a big Bill, then send them home and hope that works!

It is very difficult to say how truly disappointed I am that we had so much faith in doctor jones, our golden doodle was very sick and ended up needing surgery to remove a sock from his stomach. After surgery he came home and was having terrible complications, couldn’t eat or keep anything down would have spasms where he had trouble breathing and we called doctor jones and never got to talk to her because she was “too busy” but her tech would give us a new prescription and pass off our concerns with a medicine change. After ... read more

Jessie, we are truly sorry for your loss and are heartbroken over what happened with your beloved Benny. We can assure you that Benny was shown nothing but love and cared for by a knowledgeable doctor, which is why we take your feedback so seriously. Someone will be contacting you shortly to discuss your concerns further. Once again, we are sorry for your loss and please know that you and your family are in all our thoughts.
