Horrible service when it comes to cancellation. Called first thing this morning bc my child woke up with a fever and was told after 2 same day cancellation you can no longer book appointments only same day visits. How is this acceptable? & then the rep on the phone was like well I check your account to see if this is the first or second & I when don’t even bother I’ll find a new dentist bc this protocol is ridiculous you can not control how your child wakes up sick or not she goes okay well I’ll note your accounts. Hi Kate, we are sorry that this situation played out the way it did. Our scheduling team was simply following the rules - after 3 missed appointments we cannot accommodate you. We have an extremely busy office and we give everyone a fair chance, but rules had to be put into place due to patients scheduling appointments and not showing. We have been going to Growing Smiles for years. I called today to reschedule my sons appts and was told it would be July. Ridiculous
I brought my daughter for her cleaning today - I've been bringing my son here for 9 years, now I bring my 2 year old daughter. They refused to see her because we had a new insurance card, and they didn't have time to verify the coverage. Even though we were there in the office - I had taken time off work and brought both kids. apparently I didn't answer a voice mail asking for my new insurance info (I don't recall a voice mail, perhaps I assumed it was another confirmation call). DO NOT schedule with Dr Caroll if you have a child with special needs! They will be rushed, not handled with care or compassion! Furthermore will be only given 5 minutes to comply before she tells you to go home and try on your own! My 6 year old has had two loose teeth for a little over two months. They were starting to cause him pain so I decided to make him an appt to have them pulled. Without any dialog to the patient or any comforting words she began the process. Horrible experience today as this is my second time there as an adult patient. The pediatric dentists were great for my daughter. Today the two adult dentists and staff talked negatively about a fellow dentist for 5 minutes while I waited to be looked at by a dentist following a cleaning. After a 2 minute Check, the dentist said I had four cavities since I was there 6 months ago. Horrific experience with the Dentist in this office!!! Karissa Carroll capped 14 teeth without my permission! I was told 4 front teeth were being capped! I have X-rays that prove she capped teeth there was nothing wrong with! After the 60 min surgery (14 caps in 60 mins? What professional in their right mind would do this?) my son started spitting out his caps! She blamed my son, it’s his fault the caps where falling out SMH! They cancelled my appointment 3 times over the last few months. When we finally got there we sat so long we walked out. Staff was so rude! I asked to talk to a manager a couple of times and was told they don't have one there each time. Our time means NOTHING to them. THEY ARE HORRIBLE!
