Hi, I was just on the phone with a gentleman from the Vehicle Owner, Claims department. This gentleman was slurring his words, not making sense, laughing, and talking to himself. After 30 minutes of being on the phone with him and making 0 progress he passed out(?) and stopped responding to me. Considering we (my husband and I) are new policy holders we are so very disappointed with our first interaction with GWC. Edit 2/15/24: I just had a rear differential replacement on the same car (2015 Yukon XL - it's not been a super reliable car) and had the warranty claim through GWC approved. This one took about 3 days to get approved. Of the $2900 repair, I was on the hook for $600. Again, because of the labor rate differential below, and I'm guessing some fluids and other parts not covered. Overall I've had 3 claims filed and 3 claims approved by GWC so I'm happy with them. Summary: Stay away from this company! Purchased a vehicle with GWC, and was excited to get it transferred. However, I was quickly disappointed- their customer service is horrendous (no help and 30min wait time). They don’t have the transfer documents, they want you to draft them up, comply with their blueprint on how to do so and sign it over. Moreover, there is no option to email or fax. Whatever you do - please NEVER purchase a warranty from this company or buy a car that forces you to use this warranty company. The promises are deep but the communication and actually providing what they promise falls through. Today they DENIED a claim not because the parts were not covered but because they did not communicate with us or the shop to know that there needed to be a review before further work was done.
