Haven as always had fabulous food and an energetic crowd. Service was great as was all the food.
it's not good enough to be more expensive then the best restaurants in Atlanta.
I've been to Haven 10+ times in the past 3 years, if not more. There are many great things about this restaurant. The food is consistently very good and the service is almost always better that average as well. Last night the noise level was was WAY too "energetic" It was barely possible to have a conversation across the table. This was primarily due to the fact were seated right next to the bar. So note to self and others for the future. DO NOT take a table right next to the bar even on a moderately busy night.
I thought the purpose of a reservation is that a table is saved for you. Our guests were there at 7:05. We arrived at 7:10 to complete the party. Our reservation was at 7:00. We weren't seated until 7:50. We were rather abruptly told that happens when we don't arrive on time. If the food weren't so good I would not return. The policy on holding tables might need revision especially during the holidays when traffic in the area is bad.
This was the second time at Haven and I was disappointed. The food was outstanding so my concerns are not about the food. The tables seemed much closer together than when we were there before (maybe just where we were sitting). As a result it was very noisy and we felt we were joining our neighbor for dinner. I have always liked Have, I did not really like my entree. It was Trout. It is so salty and spicier that I like on a trout. Our waitress was great. I hate a awaken with swollen eyes due to salt. Everyone seemed happy with their food.
Haven has great food, a wine list that could be widened and good service. The only negative to me is the noise level; there is no noise management treatment on the ceiling and you have to yell sometimes to be heard. Otherwise I recommend it.
Good place to eat a Sunday brunch
food was good, the place is a bit crowded, the tables are like a nyc restaurant. we had a great waiter. i had the special, swordfish. the side vegetables were flavorful, but the fish was alittle overcooked and bland. we didnt have desert.
