we were told about haven about 18 months ago and have been returning on every trip to atlanta
We got there at 11 when it opened and was dead, but lively by noon when we left. Nice food, and a good, quieter alternative to some other brunch options. Outside on a lovely day is a pleasure.
We had not been there in at least 5 years. It was such a wonderful experience from the food, service,and ambiance. Highly recommend it.
I took some out of towners to Haven on a weeknight this week. I found that the appetizer menu did not have a lot of interesting selections, but everyone did enjoy the truffled potato hay; we all had fun eating it and getting it all over the table. Our salads were perfect. The grilled ceasar was one of the best that I have had. The dressing was salty enough, without being too salty and tart without being sour. For not a very busy Sunday night, the service was slow. The food was good overall but the salmon (which I usually order) was not medium-rare as I ordered it, but rather medium to medium-well. I did not send it back as we were with another couple who had time constraints. I have eaten at Haven 30+ times and this was not one of there better nights. It seems when Michael the owner is not around things go a little slower and the food not consistent.
My husband & I celebrated NYE at Haven. The service was absolutely outstanding. When I tasted my entree, I just didn't like it at all. One of the waiters noticed the look on my face. He came over right away and asked if everything was OK, and said "please be honest." I told him that I didn't think there was anything wrong with the food, I just didn't like the taste (and I felt really bad saying that). Very good indeed, but a bit over priced.
Very professional. I added notes in the reservation to have the bill pre-paid and everything was taken care of smoothly without any complication. Thanks for making the event such a special one.
