Please please please do not put a loved one here. I had the absolute awful and life altering and life changing for the worse ever experience here with my mother. Sadly after, across the street, Springridge Assisted Living did such a horrible job and caused repetitive UTI's that almost killed her! and after having several bouts, never came back to level she was upon entering there not even 8 months prior. Please do not take your family/friends here, my dad stayed here and there was supposed to be a 24 hour aid because of his falls.... He fell SIX times in a day with the so called "aid". He was in the hospital multiple days because of the "aid" that was supposed to be checking in on him, and on top of that the staff was not the nicest and did not seem like anyone wanted to be there. Very disappointing.

This place somehow cause themselves, a care facility! What a joke! Every time I show up to see my mother, her teeth are covered in white film for not being brushed in days. Her hair is matted and tangled. She has food. I put her Neath her fingernails on her face and all down the hospital gown that she constantly wears is they cannot bother to ever dress her in her regular clothes now I'm just doing a basic request for records regarding financial issues and over a month and a half went by have no response. Worked here. Not the best experience. Nurses yelling at you for not being fast enough. But I was able to meet my end of day work load. Asked for help, nurses ignored me. I tried my best to be the best for the patients there. I also felt very sorry for some of the patients there. Not all the CNA's cared for them as much as I did. I will miss the patients there but I will not ever miss working there. Under paid an over worked.

Heartwood's kitchen does not feed residents adequately. Rehabilitation from disease or disaster takes more calories, but in 15 weeks, I've lost 25 pounds -- not intentionally. That's about 87000 calories short, which means each meal is hundreds of calories short of what it should be. The nursing staff here are often slow to respond to the "call lights" of the residents (they take hours, in some cases). Please, don't send your family here. After everything you and your loved ones have been through by the time they get to rehab, the frequency of simple tasks getting done wrong will eventually overwhelm you. Having worked in this Feild of work and currently working as a public servant, I'm often unsure how simple tasks go awry to no alarm. Some staff members seem to show low compassion for patients. This place is a nightmare. Please don't send your family or friends here because they will be mistreated and not taken care of. They just care about their Medicare payout and do the bare minimum.

This place is continually understaffed. Many of the CNAs do not follow basic care and safety guidelines. The LPNs refuse to do any task that "is not their job". There is no one to provide care for the bed-bound patients during mealtimes, which lasts 2+ hours. The only positive note is the therapy providers (PT and OT), they are safe, diligent, and professional.
