This was by far the worst experience I have had at this establishment! We waited an hour and 45 minutes for a table, once seated we received cold red beans and rice which I didn't even think was possible. However they returned with fresh bowls and it was hot. Then we waited another 45 minutes for our food while other people around us received their orders only to get lukewarm dishes. Been coming to Henry's for over 10 years. Sad to say that they have gone downhill in my past couple of trips but tonight was THE WORST!!! And I'm a huge fan of Henry's...but will NOT be back! We waited for a table for over an 1-1/2 hrs (6:20-8:10) which was fine, considering it's Thanksgiving week and they seemed pretty busy. However, by the time we sat the restaurant was clearing out! The person they have hired to stand in as Henry and throws beads as well is just annoying. I wish there were just beads put on the tables or given by servers. They also now take orders on a device which is a personal pet peeve because no servers I have encountered can use them quicker or even at the same speed as just a notepad and pencil. They also seemed to have slightly changed some recipes (Caesar dressing and the batter for fried dishes is what I noticed) and the fried dishes flavor is completely changed now. Bayou Cakes were pre cooked and reheated, not hot at all and outside coating had zero crisp. Cakes had somewhat of a taste of crawfish and/or shrimp but very little actual pieces. Side of cheese grits had the same vibe in being colder and reheated. Waitress double charged us for our order of Calimari and the bill was presented with the handheld device where they quickly prompt you for payment so I missed the double charge.

Had heard so many good things about this place so could not wait til try. Now keep in mind having lived in Texas for years and traveled to Louisiana every chance I got. 2nd time going with new ownership. It's not the same as when Henry owned it. I've noticed small oversights but overall Service isn't on point like it was. Went last night with another couple, their first time. 5 minutes after receiving our receipt back from paying our bill, Eladio Fernandez, service manager says we must leave because this table is late for reservations. Don't really know why there's so much hype around, this, place just cause it was on tv one time. The waiters and waitress had an attitude to them and weren't very friendly and welcoming as if they didn't want to be there or deal with customers. The food wasn't anything to write home about, but it wasn't disgusting, just not anything special. The ambiance was nice and chill thou. Anyways I wouldn't go here again.

The food is ok nothing to say that it's good it needs more seasoning with it being New Orleans food hopefully with new owners that the taste will improve

Service was wonderful! The only thing I can say about the menu is it wasn't to our liking or what we are use to when dining. The best way I can explain the food is lunch room cafeteria style.
