The staff is very welcoming and we're eager to work with us, to make sure all of our needs were being met.

All my concerns have been met. One of my biggest conferns They did not take my mother out of the room enough, although she wasn’t always willing to want to go for her best interest she needs to be around people and you do an excellent job of doing that. You just have more people to give better care it don’t get any better than that.
All staff, from house cleaning and maintenance to CNAs and executives, are always kind, friendly, and helpful. The CNAs are typically young, hence they sometimes overlook things that they may have never had to live with themselves or be involved with a family member, such as taking a client's hearing aids out at a convenient time in the evening, even though that client will likely be up for several more hours. Making the decision of having to find somewhere for my dad to live, who has dementia, was a difficult one. Heritage Court was very welcoming and I knew right away they would take good care of him and I could set my mind at ease. Everything from cleanliness to very helpful staff made Heritage a good choice. Also, whenever I take my dad out or bring him back, I can tell he’s happy based on his interaction with the staff.
You can't help but notice how much the Heratige staff must learn about each new resident and yet they take it all in stride. Always open to modifying their SOPs to best fit the needs of your family member. They keep you abreast of any deviations to your loved one's typical patterns, behavior, strength, health, etc. A very reassuring process indeed.
