Great price, good print quality and super easy to install I got tired of the HP jet ink cartridge issues and decided to change brands. I just wanted a basic black and white laser printer to connect directly to my computer USB port. The Brother Printer is super easy to install. Just plug the usb cable to my computer, load the toner cartridge and was ready to go in less that 10 min. Print quality is great for the price. Good print quality--problem coms This is my second Brother laser printer. Previous 5250DN lasted 20 years. This produces good quality print. But, the sleep mod is anoying. I have to restart to get out of sleep. Also, it will not accept WiFi jobs if USB is connected--one or the other, not both.
Perfect if you only use printers occasionally. Compact and easy to setup. We bought this to replace old inkjet printer that always failed because we use it infrequent and the ink cartridges dry up. One suggestion is to buy a dust cover to keep it running new as it comes out of the box.
BEST EVER! We don't need a color printer any more and that last one we bought was really horrible. My son had us get this while he was visiting. He helped us set it up and synchronized our iPhones with it so we can print from our phones and even scan documents on our phone and then print them. It's just what we needed! Great purchase!

Great Printer Easy set up, compact size, printing double-sided is a perk, print quality is high (I mostly print text).
Very Noisy Pros: Good price for monochrome printer. It does sleep. Cons: Very noisy. Tech said to change the print cartridge which I did but still very noisy. Buy again? Probably not. Reviews said it was noisy and I ignored it for price. Shouldn't have.
