Unfortunately though, my kids' school laptop could not connect to it which meant they were constantly emailing me things and I had to print it at night after work. I tried other printers with no luck. I went back to this brand for the more current model and it worked! I found it to be fast, quiet, and reliable. Just what I need for my home office
Prints perfectly and love that it uses wifi. I would recommend to all my friends! I also love how many papers it prints out.
This is a simple, straight-forward work horse B&W laser printer. Plug-in, not wireless, Nothing fancy. No frills to get messed up. We have another one similar. Both are attached to home-based office desk tops where we don’t need scanner functions or color. Neither have ever jammed. Generic ink is available for economy. We use other printers if we need color or elaborate printing.
I own 3 of this printer, simple and easy to operate, the printing quality is great.
I puzzled over the set-up for a while. Then I registered the printer on the Brother website. After that, it was easy to download the driver to my Mac. I had to temporarily connect using my previous printer’s USB cable. Boom. All set up. Now the I can print single or double-sided from my Mac, IPad or IPhone. “Print” is now another option when you hit the Share button. Very handy. The printer can be located anywhere the WiFi reaches.

I love the brother laser printers. My only thing I do not like is that the toner must be a original brother or it doesn’t work. I will rethink another unless they change this but works really well and haven’t had any problems other than buying brother parts as they are more expensive than the generic ones.
I needed a simple printer that used toner instead of ink, since I don't print often. This one works great. The only issuebisbthat sometimes the wireless won't work. Luckily, I was able to connect it via wire to my computer so I'm happy.
