good High quality printer with good price.
Print quality and cost. We loved the product even though the website stated it was an Auto Duplex and it was not. The company Adorama would not take the printer back even after they approved the return. I had only printed 5 or 6 pages on it so it was still in brand new condition. Even after they approved it for return, after almost a week they refused to take it back. The Brother printer is very good and I am trying g to see if I can sell it to someone else. Printer without Scanner The printer received "average" 3 stars because there was a lack of understanding of the ability of the printer and because of the quietness. Not being very technical-minded, I did not realize that without a Scanner the printer would not easily copy. I have to use my separate scanner to give a visual/download of a document to be printed. good product in terms of quality and price Good for both home and office use
Toner can be "reset" I just bought this printer to replace a 10+ year old HP color laserjet that died so I can't comment on the durability / longevity of the Brother unit just yet. I did want to address some of the reviews I've read here saying that the toner cannot be "reset." Perhaps their model has different firmware, but from my experience you can indeed reset the toner on this model. Most users would want to use every last bit of toner and defer toner replacement until the point where they deem the print quality unaccep... read more
Fair printer for home use We have been using this printer for 18 month, so far so good. I like the wi-fi connectivity, it was easy to connect and print file from my iphone.
No usb wire. I purchased this printer to replace a hp printer that would not connect to my wifi. The Brother printer connected without any problems. It jammed one time with 110lb cardstock but has run several now out of the standard paper tray with no problems. the only gripe i have is it didn't come with a usb wire.
Solid unit This has no real drawbacks. The settings and properties drivers appear well written. It is a big printer, which I consider good because it is very substantial and solid. If you have a very small workspace, its footprint will dominate some real estate as the kids say. There is only one detraction. Once it has timed out and powered itself down, you have to physically hit the power button before you can print to it again.
