It constituted a great "kick start" for me I bet you're wondering what I mean by "kick start" eh? I've been living in the "wilderness" for over five years, and emerged into a strange, new higher tech world than the one I left! Pulling that printer and printed matter out of its box made my heart race. The same feeling I experienced with the Chromebook! "I'M NOT TOUCHIN' IT!". The unsuspecting fellow who was here to hook up my phone had it up and running in TEN MINUTES. So it's easy to install when you've kept abreast with upgrades in technology. I'm working on that

Just do it! the printer is fair bit larger than the 2400 series which I had. It pumps out the pages a lot faster, however, and with the larger cartridge it should require much less attendance over the usage period. I would recommend it, although in this 5100 series you may like one of the other variants a bit better and you should check that out. The cost for this printer is quite reasonable given its long cartridge life and the speed of print. It gives good quality and double sides docs for paper saving automatically. Just try it, you won't be disappointed. I spent many hours in research before I bought this printer, I compared prices and talked to four or five firms who repair and service Brother printers. Every one of them told me this was a good printer and they were not wrong.

Every family should have one 1200x1200 dpi, double-sided printing, quiet, airprint driver, USB and RJ45 connection. Ideal for LAN printing. Since Samsung stopped sales of equivalent printers the HL-L5100N is the only alternative. And a perfect one.

ms Adrian from Adelaide Direct Stationers was very helpful and supportive with selecting a new printer. One item short on delivery which surprised me was the connection from printer to the Tower. I thought that was rather "odd". Luckily I had the "old" connection.
