Very friendly and accommodating staff. But felt claustrophobic at the property
So I had a very bittersweet stay at Holiday Inn NYC Wall Street. The facilities and the rooms are pretty old and shabby, so it's not the nicest of hotels to stay in, and for the price, it was rather disappointing. However, the staff were incredible and made me feel welcome and looked after from start to finish. They were definitely the shining light in an otherwise mediocre stay. I like the familiarity of the location. I travel each year to NYC for training and always book with this hotel. The staff are friendly and accommodating. I really appreciate the convenience and choices of food options near the location; and the ease and comfort of the hotel and its services. My only negative is there is no refrigerator in the room.
The staff was very attentive, very gallant and service oriented. They can go an extra mile with no effort, in order to provide the best stay and the best hospitality possible. If we ever go back to Financial District, we will most definitely choose Holiday Inn New York City - Wall Street, over any other facility, hands down!
The hotel is so small like the hallways are tiny and the rooms are so tiny. We accidentally got an accessible room and the shower was just a detachable showerhead midway in the shower. It didn't raise up or anything, so the person I was rooming with and I had to take turns holding the shower head up for each other so we could wash our hair. Also, there wasn't anything raised separating the shower from the bathroom, so the bathroom flooded every time we showered.
