Sorry, but we have not had a great experience so far. The food is a negative 5. It is very poor. Not nutritious, and not enough. My Mom has been there and they have had 3 "wellness directors". They have a difficult time with enough staffing also. This is concerning.

My Sister-In-Law was in Elmcroft for nearly 22 months. After paying for [date removed] we were called on April 2nd and told to get her out of the facility. We moved her on [date removed]. The reason we were given, "She needs to be in Memory Care". Please Note: Elmcroft advertises they are a Memory Care Facility. They tried to cheat her out of an extra day's cost. 91 yo mother was placed in Elmcroft [date removed] after spending a month rehab. Her admitting orders specified she dementia. She didn't recognize me when I visited & believed rehab was trying to kill her (documented). Fast forward. Elmcroft did not believe she had dementia. Her phone didn't work because she did not take it out of the box. Stories go on. Mother disowned and me revoked my POA with aid of someone. While at Elmcroft, she spent over $50K: giving $15K away and buying $36K of jewelry. I spent ~ $180K for her care.... read more
Because of COVID-19 protocols, activities have been eliminated
My mom was at Elmcroft and it is 100% horrible. The nurses and caregivers lie about the care they provide and the salesperson washes her hands of you once she's sold you this disaster if a place. They kept my mom alive while in respite but her room was almost always dirty and smelly. She always looked disheveled and they did not wash her face every day, keep her hydrated or engaged. I would give them zero what ever you do don't go here. If you want a loved one not to fall and told they are fine. Two weeks later the [Removed] from complications to a broken back.

While Elmcroft of Tempe is a beautiful assisted living facility, lovely decorated, and very neat and clean in the common areas. Since, my father has moved in we have found the personal assistance care lacking. There are just not enough caregivers to assist all the residences. We have had to ask for his sheets to be changed, the room and the bathroom to be cleaned. The sheets on his bed had not been changed in over 3 weeks.
