This is a test of how Yelp uses AI to assist reviewers write. From what I can tell, this technology is not activated for this business, for reasons unknown.

My daughter went here. It's a very pretty campus filled with nerds! They are a research University and are very selective on the students that they accept. This is NOT a party school. They are often in the national news for their research findings. Topics range from medical innovations to robotics. Not Ivy League, but one step below. No students who go here are of normal intelligence, they are all above (based on SAT scores combined with High School class ranking). This is the 'nerdy' University of Texas campus.

So I'm actually reviewing Temoc instead of the school. Temoc (comet spelled backwards) is one of the all-time greats of the mascot sphere. He is literally cool enough to make you want to go this college. Side note: The students here rave about the on-campus IHOP.

UTD has come a long way since I started there 5 years ago. When I started in 2013, it was a very quiet, nerdy school. It didn't help I was an engineering major where there were very few girls/people to talk to. Fast forward to spring 2017, and it started to feel more like a college campus. Nothing like your UT or A&M, but making its way there. There are a lot of traditions that make this school special - love jack, whoosh, legacy lane, etc. & there is never a dull moment on campus (except finals week). Usually a club is doin... read more

This is true for any university, but whether it be social, educational, or career-related opportunities, your experience at a university is what you make out of it. So the question is, does the University of Texas at Dallas have the right source if you are looking to build a solid foundation for your intellectual development, your career-related qualifications, and the right peers to influence you regrading your social life? Absolutely. So if you are looking to go to a school in Dallas area, give UT Dallas a try.

My alma mater, so what can I say other than send your kids here... if you still think college is good for them. If you do, this is the place to shape their minds. Just make sure the education is shaping them and not the politics.

One of the best public universities in Texas. Diverse campus with great people all around. A lot of resources across campus and research opportunities. Amazing and caring professors.

The best public university you could attend in the Dallas area. It's relatively cheap for what you get. The student body is extremely diverse from all backgrounds. This is definitely a nerd-friendly campus, thus very liberal. PROS: - All buildings are basically brand new - Most professors have PhD's, Masters, Doctorates, etc. They definitely know their stuff - Endless resources at students' will - Very well maintained. CONS: - Parking. They'll make you pay hundreds for a parking pass when they don't have sufficient parking... read more
