Nice campus but lots of construction. I like the magnolia trees and the reflection pool. A lot of seating everywhere but can get pretty filled depending on time of day and time of semester. Few food options so it gets tiring... almost had chickfila everyday my freshman year. A few microwaves around so campus is friendly to packed lunches. Not too hard to get around campus but the res halls are ones i can never tell apart from each other except big daddy (West). Comet cabs are available so thats cool. UTD was ranked No. 1 for public schools founded within the last 50 years nationally! In those 50 years we have climbed rankings among different programs and continue to grow and expand our university! You will get very little in the way of a true college experience here, that is, mingling with all sorts of crazy people, maybe getting into a tight situation more than you'd expect, and other memorable moments. Here it's mostly people focused on their edumacation so they can get a good job and the resulting house and 2.1 kids and 10 foot high board on board stained fence up in Plano. #UTDWHOOSH I agree to like UTD. Great education at a great price. And they offer so many resources for their students, like tutoring, counseling, health clinics, flu shots, resume workshops, etc. Finding parking spaces isn't fun, but everything else is good.

I'm a transfer student from Richland College. This is my first semester at UTD. I love the working environment here. They gave me the chance to enhance my skills. They have great study programs and organizations that you can join and get involved. Finally, UTD is a great school. I feel so lucky to be a student here. I have learned a lot from them.

Pros: Good professors, good courses, good resources Cons: WOW it's expensive! I know it is growing, but $6,000 for 3 courses? Really? Strengths: Computer Science, Child Development, Speech Pathology, Business, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering Weaknesses: Electrical Engineering curriculum needs to be updated, a list of available resources needs to be updated, and the Art Barn needs to be repaired and made into a valid hang-out spot again

Very nice university. You can tell they are trying to stay current and make sure the campus stays current as well. The atheltic facility is beautiful.

After 30 million dollars towards stellar aesthetic renovations and fixed potholes, I really wish someone would just think of improving the campus wifi...
