In search of a brunch for Father's Day, I thought I might give J-Prime a go (at the recommendation of my favorite waiter from Chama's). All these 5 Star ratings; lol... AYFKM? Skulking, angst-ridden, and unprofessional wait staff with poor hygiene (my waitress was okay.. I guess. IDK). Vacant eyed Hostess was dismissive, rude, goofy. Never received our appitizers. Fish was over cooked and services was extremely rushed.
Had the salmon. Portion is very small for $40 and considering it comes with nothing else. Blackened salmon from Willie's Grill 10x better deal.
The service was spectacular, but I was disappointed in the food. They were out of the Beeman Akaushi Filet on the menu, so I ordered the other premium filet. That steak was not as tender as an average filet, and I had to trim the gristle that ran along one side. The other appetizers, sides, and dessert were fine. At that price, (nearly $180 per person for dinner), I expected higher quality steaks.
Used to be the best brunch in town hands down but gradually have been going downhill. Today was the last straw for us as regular customers. A year ago when we first came to their brunch we were blown away with the food, service, and bottomless mimosas served for $45. Each time we've gone back they seem to be taking something away from their usual brunch and seemingly making their costs cheaper. Reservations were made for 7pm. We showed up 10 min early and were told that the table wasn't ready yet and it looked like it was going to be 20 min or so. Not unreasonable to wait for a short time, especially as they are fully booked from it being restaurant week. I'm not fussed with this. 40 min later I ask what the status of our table is. Poor noise control. Salty food
Steak came out undercooked twice Staff was very apologetic and it was removed From the bill. Likely just an off evening - will definitely go back again
Made reservation still waited 25 minutes to be seated. Buffet was almost empty. So the food looked dry sitting there a long time. Poor food quality for the price. Waitress was very ghetto did not belong in a high class restaurant like this. Will not return. Very disappointed.
