We had the crab cake and shrimp cocktail as our appetizers. Crab cake was 11/10, shrimp cocktail was not as expected 4-5 large shrimp on ice with cocktail sauce on the side. The shrimp were good but I would not order the shrimp cocktail again. Lobster Bisque was divine 15/10. I would go back just for the Lobster Bisque. Excellent service and delicious food. The Lobster Bites, Crab Fried Rice and Crab Legs were delicious!
The restaurant has a nice vibe but just seems to miss being great. The ambiance is nice but in the middle of dinner they adjusted the background music from soft to glaringly loud twice, the steaks were tasty but arrived unadorned and were just warm. The wine list is extensive, the cocktails were excellent and the staff is nice. The four of us left the dinner without much to say about the experience. No valet and $36 public parking was the final indignity.
I am a steak lover and visit many steakhouses regularly. I was in Austin for the F1 GP event and a friend of mine suggested to try J-Prime for steaks. J-Prime is now on my list of best steakhouses and will definitely go if i am in town again.
The service was above all of our expectations, we were a party of 7. Alicia is probably the best waitress I have ever had. Friendly and respectful, and she accommodated all of our requests with a smile. The food was everything and more of what you expect. But service , unequalled.
The space was pretty loud, but that could have been because we went on a busy weekend for the entire city. The food was excellent, although the prices were higher than I would have expected. Also the number of employees who kept coming to our table made it very difficult to have a conversation - it was very distracting.
10/10 ! I can’t wait to visit Austin again just to experience this amazing place again.
Everything was wonderful! I would definitely dine here again.
The overall experience was fantastic, with exceptional service and outstanding food. I highly recommend it.
