I ordered a pre-cut kit from Jamaica Cottage that consisted of 16 x 20 barn and 2 overhangs. It arrived on time with the exception of some backordered material which wasnt needed until much later in the build. The delivery was exceptional. I have a very narrow gravel driveway on a narrow dirt road and the driver was able put the 4 pallets exactly where I wanted them without any issues. The kit instructions were easy to follow and the materials were labeled, marked with the layout where needed and cut as needed. Ive done a significant amount of building with dimensional lumber but this was my first large build with rough cut lumber and once I got used to the differences it went smoothly. The team at Jamaica Cottage was a pleasure to work with. They were extremely professional, helpful and quick to address the minor questions and issues I had. I am very happy with the final product and if you have the experience to do a build, I would definitely recommend a Jamaica Cottage pre-cut kit. Thanks to the team at Jamaica Cottage for helping me make my barn a reality!

From start to finish, the folks at Jamaica Cottage Shop made the purchase of a new shed quick and painless. Delivery went smoothly, thanks to our driver and clear photos we provided to expedite the delivery. The driver was thorough and friendly and made sure we were pleased with our purchase and setup before he left the driveway.Highly recommended!

We visited Jamaica cottage in the fall to look at the barn we were interested in Purchasing, We loved it, the quality was amazing.. The patience Josh had with us was very much appreciated , we had a lot of questions and he was quick to get back to us with answers, thank you Josh!! Shilo Was awesome , we sent her a video of how tight our drive way is and she assured us they could get the wood right where we needed it. Thank you Shilo !! Dave was the delivery driver and he nailed it , it was tricky but he is a master in navigating his equipment , we so appreciate his help, Thank you Dave!! Don’t hesitate to purchase from this company, it’s great!!!!

For what it’s worth, James, our delivery driver was amazing. We had a very difficult driveway with a really tough angle for the delivery. He was extremely patient and was thoughtful in his approach to not damaging the property or the new cabin. He clearly took pride in his work and had great things to say about Jamaica Cottage shop. Fantastic experience, which can be rare these days. **** was delivered with their expert driver, *****, an absolute master of finesse truck maneuvering. Customer service was outstanding, very commutative and timely. The shed itself is hands down the best value you will get for the money. Solid wood, metal roof and quality hardware, it is built to last. When delivered the set up was so detailed, making sure it was level down to ensuring the doors don't swing shut when they are open.Highly recommend this company for its quality products, outstanding customer service and expert delivery. I ordered a salt box shed kit last May. It was delivered in July with the wrong roof. They said the correct one was back ordered. It was a drag not to know this in advance because I had a contractor ready to build it. We had to reschedule. When it was all ready to be built two weeks later the DIRECTIONS WERE WRONG. I had ordered an upgrade from vertical clabbers to horizontal pine clabbers, but the framing directions were for the basic shed without the upgrade. There was no way for us to know that, and my carpenter built the frame following the directions. This screwed us up later and he had to undo quite a bit of work. Jamaica Cottage Shop was sorry, and said they should have sent an addendum to the instructions. It was a huge drag, and cost me time and money. I do think this is a great shed!! I just happened to have a bad experience. I would give the shed 5 stars, and my experience just 2.

At Jamaica Cottage Shop, we take all feedback from our valued customers seriously, and try to make changes to how we do things here accordingly. In regard to the backordered materials, we have connected with the appropriate department(s) to ensure that our clients are contacted when any of their materials are on backorder. We have also made it a point to communicate more clearly at the time of sale that modifications and upgrades to our Pre-Cut Kits are not reflected in our standard plans. JCS send building instructions specific to our clients purchases with the delivery of their PCK. The standard instructions that your contractor was utilizing were sent prior to delivery (via digital access and a hard copy plan when requested) to get a sense of the standard build. We send these standard plans first so you have the materials and cut list that come with our standard option, as a beginning step. We then have our drafting team work on the instructions specific to your purchase. Did you receive the plans that were created specifically for your Saltbox in the pallet with your delivery? Again, our sincere apologies for the issues you have experienced! We will also be reaching out to you directly via email, and we hope that you will consider working with us again in the future.
