Great stuff when used as specified I used these to replace some Pentair/Ortega right-angle check valves when I re plumbed my pool. The Ortegas were over $100 each so these looked like a good thing at half the cost. They work fine. I like the clear window which lets you see whats flowing through the valve. The design of the connector makes it easy to glue without worry of fouling the internals. I did follow some on-line guy's advice and remove the top to ensure that any glue did not hit the valve seat. Fake/knockoff not a Jandy as claimed This is a cheap knockoff claiming to be an authentic Jandy part. Knockoffs are way cheaper than this. Just pay half this for the knockoff
Defective new valve ... This product was defective, it leaked upon installing it... I removed the valve flapper lid and discovered it had been assembled without the gasket/O-ring... can’t believe I get a new valve with something so basic missing...
Beware of 25% Restocking fee on returns The product was delivered as promised but when I reviewed the installation instructions for the check valve I realized it would not work with my spa plumbing. Apparently, this Jandy chack valve can be used in horizontal and verticle applications, however, the vertical applications are limited and if not followed you can still have the problem of the Spa draining back into the pool.Upon review of VM Solutions return policy, I found that VM Solutions charges a 25% restocking fee.
