Nice affordable pump My first pentair pump only lasted 4 years so I bought the same unit for $389.00 it ran great all summer stored it in my house for the winter just opened up the pool turn on the pump what do you know the pump died after 1 year so I took a chance bought this dohenys 1hp hook it up I only had to change one fitting the white one on the hose to fit this pump runs real quiet seems to me it’s pumping more water than the expensive pentair so I would recommend this pump over any pentair or hayword pump
All the performance for half the price We bought this to replace our Hayward Powerflo LX pump, which is $369 brand new. And honestly, I like this one better. We often have backflow problems when vacuuming the pool, which requires removing the skimmer cap. This one is SO MUCH EASIER to remove. I’d often times have to use the handle of channel locks to get the Hayward one off.NOTE: If you are replacing a Hayward or other pump that has a prong L5-20P plug, you are going to need an adapter (pictures attached).

It's not a Hayward, but it's a great value! I needed a new pump for my above ground pool. I didn't want the same brand I had before, as it lasted only 3 years. So I figured I'd try this one. Install was a breeze as it was a direct fit, and it seems to be very well built. Time will tell if I will get more than 3 years out of it!

Inner thread Ordered a pump without outer threads and hoses keep popping off. Had to return and get pump with inner thread. This pump works perfectly. I'm very pleased and price was good. Will order from this company again.
