restaurant was understaffed. Servers were very rushed. Had to ask for serving plates appetizers because they were so rushed to bring with the order.

Second time we have sat in the lounge in the past few weeks. We had to leave as we sat for over 15 minutes without even getting water. This happened last time. Didn’t get our drinks till 25 min after we had been seated. Didn’t have time to wait this time. Disappointing as this is one of our favourite restaurants.

For the last 10 visits at Joeys, this one was not good… It took forever to get water, our food was slow to show and the chicken lettuce wraps were miserable … The chicken pieces were huge, the crisp were just thrown in, not mixed and the sauce was at the bottom. The dish is too small to mix everything and it made the eating difficult… Sundays cooks and servers may be…

The food was great however the service was horrible. We went to dine in for my sister's birthday, and not once did the server acknowledge why we were there; this was noted on the reservation comments. The server was very short with us and made it seem like we were an inconvenience to her. At one point, our party of 5 all looked at eachother confused as to why we were receiving such attitude from our server. Disappointed that the happy hour menu had changed. Waitress said the happy hour would be small and not the same as the one on the main menu

Service was mediocre, we had wanted to share two different burgers and had asked to have them cut in half for us. Our food arrives and we only have 1.5 burgers…no explanation was given. 0.5 burger arrives 10 minutes after the fact. Food was okay, nothing super special. Waitress was more than happy to hand us the bill since we weren’t buying cocktails or more food. Value for money wasn’t there.

Worst experience I’ve had at a Joeys. Food was mediocre at best. My sushi was dry and falling apart. Ended up getting sick to the stomach the next day. Hope this isn’t a starting trend as we’ve very much enjoyed our other experiences at there other locations. Service was good.

We had a terrible evening at Joey Chinook. It’s difficult to find something good to say. We had two coeliac with us, and the waitress showed little knowledge, but less interest in helping them navigate the menu. Two people ordered the same thing one to be gluten-free and one not and when they came out, they didn’t know which was which. My one daughter ordered a steak that was expensive and it was tough and stringy and not cooked the way she ordered. Our server wasn’t acknowledging or engaging with us and seems like struggling with language maybe ? The water was slammed on the table, asked for separate bills which was ignored and deliberately a face made. Took 20 mins for a glass of water with ice. Drinks came after food . Not the best experience however food was top notch as always
