Nice place to spend funny time with my family
I was extremely happy that the entire zoo was handicap accessible and allowed for strollers and personal mobility vehicles to navigate with extreme ease. They rent strollers and Amigos at the front, which is great for people who can't bring their own. All staff is super friendly. The zoo and animals all are well maintained and looked after. The best part of our experience was the Lego-like sculptures all around the zoo. What a great way to showcase "Earth's small and mighty"!! Superb!!
We traveled to MI from IL on Labor Day Weekend and on our way home we decided to stop at the zoo. My favorite animal is a Snow Leopard, so I was excited to see one on exhibit. I noticed a gentlemen in regular clothes but he had a name badge visible observing, Milo, and his behavior in the habitat. I was bold enough to go up and talk to him and he shared so much information with me about 3 year old, Milo, originally from Toronto Zoo.
