I consented to a simple abscess drainage with Dr. Taylor. Without any warning, he performed an extremely painful debridement procedure. I felt everything because the lidocaine was ineffective—something he later admitted to a trainee during the procedure. When I asked him to stop from the pain, he only said, ‘It’s almost over,’ and continued. Dr. Taylor was great my first visit with him. However, my second visit I waited an hour and 15 minutes past my appointment time for him to come in and spend 2 min going over my test results, tell me that surgery wasn’t an option and to schedule an appt with my GI. I left with the distinct impression patient consultation is not his strength and once he can’t cut he doesn’t really care.
