We received request after request for more and more information, instead of a comprehensive list at the beginning of the process. We made approximately 10 trips to the office to leave various statements, documents, letters, etc. to verify our income. We don't have jobs anymore, so our more than adequate income is from much more stable sources, such as pensions. My perception was that the lending organization was dubious of our reliability because we didn't rely on paychecks.
