More loan options. I wanted to take out a smaller loan such as a 5 year loan in the amount of 20-25K, instead I had to take a 15yr loan for over 60k when I was putting down 80% of the purchase price.

Unnecessary delays in the underwriting process and lack of communication about final costs. Our closing costs fluctuated over 2000 dollars in 72 hrs and was not explained to us at all. It just seemed that a lot of unnecessary stress was put on us for an already stressful situation
